Music is an amazing gift from God! 

At Woodlawn, music provides the backbone to our worship.  Our worship is enhanced by the gifts of our choir and bell choir. Each group rehearses weekly, and always welcomes new participants.  Led by music director Eric Henson, the choirs lead our congregation's praise in a wide variety of works including traditional anthems, classical, American gospel and contemporary music.  Special music and seasonal works augment our weekly musical offerings. 

Taize-style prayer services, and special worship services are coordinated by the Session's worship committee and provide additional opportunities to praise God through music and fine arts. For more information, contact the church office.

Eric Henson's expertise in conducting and leading choral groups in the Saint Louis region is matched by his personal faith and sense of spirituality.  His talent in worship leadership are evidenced weekly as he leads the congregation and choir in experiencing a broad range of musical textures and sounds, ranging from classical to gospel, contemporary to contemplative.  Working with the pastors, Eric leads the choir and lay leaders in crafting worship experiences that bring glory to God and deepen the congregation's personal faith.  A native of Arnold, MO, Eric has taught classroom music, coached privately, directed regional choruses and church choirs, led workshops on vocal technique and production, and has served as the worship leader for national conferences.
