Taize Worship for All God's People Taize worship is modeled after the worship of an ecumenical spiritual community in Taize, France. It includes beautiful music, scripture readings, and periods of silent reflection. A break from the noise of our world! A Gathering For All God’s People Because the Taize community of France is an ecumenical community of reconciliation, members of all faith communities are welcomed to our worship. We pray that our Taize worship will be a gathering for all God’s people! Growing numbers of North American Christians are experiencing this unique blend of music, prayer, silence and song, and have discovered it to be a meaningful expression of spirituality. Each service begins in quiet meditation and concludes with a moving and often emotional candlelighting prayer. The music is easy to learn and often centered on verses from scripture. Our worship will be offered the first Thursday of the month (see schedule, below). Download a brochure about Taize worship at Woodlawn Chapel by clicking here!
